I am baffled and I know you will be after reading this piece! Use of power of imagination advised. Location: Treasure Island, Florida. Here we go: 11-year-old girl complained of stomach pains. Mom and her boyfriend took child to the hospital believing she might be having the flu or food poisoning. Tests were run. Result? Girl was pregnant! And? Please, read on:
The mother's 42-year-old boyfriend asked for the car keys to run some errands. Yes? Patience please! We are getting there. He never returned! Yes, he absconded! Now add one and one together. But that was not all! More cascading of events followed:
After calling his girlfreind to confess and apologize, Gregory Johns, went on to rob a couple at knife-point. Left a note also apologizing to the 11-year-old girl for sexually assaulting her.
Then he broke into the home of an elderly woman, allegedly gagged and tied her up for about 12 hours. He again called his girlfriend telling her that he would rather be dead than go back to jail! Did I hear you scream what-da-why? Oh yes, I forgot to tell you: Gregory Johns has been in jail TEN TIMES on charges ranging from aggravated assault to armed robbery!
Finally, Johns was found hiding in a hotel. When he came out with a knife in hand and threatened the cops, they SHOT HIM DEAD! End of story!
Questions: Was this woman aware of this man's criminal past? If yes, what was she thinking being around such a man? And, why should she jeopardize her child's safety by staying with that man? More questions but few answers...

I still cannot understand why the woman stayed in a relationship with such a man. I mean, did she not think about her safety and that of her kids?
